Hi, I’m Ashley
A Florida wedding photographer all about the in-between, ordinary moments that make our experiences so meaningful to look back on.
Before I was a photographer soaking up rays in 30A, I was a design student in Boston. I thought I would study hard, get a 9-5, and live locally. But adventure was already calling my name as early as freshman year, when my husband (then boyfriend) and I started dating.
Once he graduated and left to join the Air Force, we began a long-distance relationship. Over those two years, we dreamed about having a big wedding but impending graduation meant that we had to choose between starting our lives together and our desire for a celebration with our family and friends.
One Tuesday afternoon, we decided we were ready to start our next chapter together. I bought my wedding bouquet at a supermarket and put on my favorite dress to elope at the local courthouse. Just a few months later, a job reassignment meant we were headed to Northwest Florida.
At first, my passion for photography started as a way to make new friends in the area (since I knew no one!) but quickly evolved into my purpose. My wedding story made me low-key obsessed with intimate weddings and celebrations of love. There’s just something about capturing moments and legacies that you know will be looked back on for years to come. I realized that capturing those stories for my couples was pretty much the greatest, and I didn’t look back.
Six years later, Derek and I have grown together, learned together, and leaned on each other in good times and bad. Even in disagreements and rough storms, I see more and more how truly connected we are. I know I have found my soulmate, and we can’t wait to renew our vows one day in Tulum so we can celebrate our journey with the most loved people in our lives.
These days, I capture intimate weddings, elopements, couples, and families in an artistic but authentic way. I can’t wait to walk through the sunset with my music blasting, running into the ocean with you, standing as the waves rush onto the shore as you say your vows, propose to your love, or simply celebrate being together.
